American Legion Boys State is an objective citizenship training program which includes individual responsibility to the community, state and nation. It is our goal that each young man attending American Legion Boys State sessions will return to his community a better citizen. This experience will have stimulated in him a desire to become an active citizen and leader to make contributions which will help to make his community a better place. Boys State is not a recreational camp but a leadership training camp. The American Legion Boys State Program is for qualified male High School Juniors only.

Our American Legion plays a very important role in the development of the future leaders of this state and nation. Our history is proven by the following list of prominent Boys State graduates. We take great pride in offering this program to the young men of Alaska.

If you have any questions feel free to contact the American Legion Boys State Director Kevin Collier at 1 (907)317-8029 or email kcollier@alaska.net
